I've known Julie Maccarin, PhD, for over 15 years and for much of that time, we were members in a small group that focused on how best to treat children and their families. Julie is a very experienced, knowledgeable and compassionate therapist. She sees and approaches each child uniquely to find the best approach for them. Julie is gifted with many skills and continues to put time and effort in improvements for her self and her work.

Julie Maccarin is a gifted and creative child psychologist. She has the ability to connect quickly with children. She uses her vast knowledge and and skills to help the child and family to negotiate or ameliorate difficult situations and problems. She uses many creative interventions in the therapeutic process. As a colleague I would often go to her for ideas in terms of intervening with my own clients. I can highly recommend her.

I've known and worked with Julie for many years, and there are very few child and adolescent psychologists to whom I have ever felt so comfortable referring. Her warmth and insight along with her advanced training in many different modalities, as well as her experience as an Occupational Therapist, provide a breathe of knowledge and sensitivity that is not easy to find. I wish she still worked in NJ!
