About Couples Therapy
In my couples work, I primarily use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). This is a structured approach to couples work based on attachment theory. EFT helps partners work together to recognize the automatic cycles of conflict that arise from hurt and misunderstanding, and that interfere with each partner's ability to trust the other. EFT supports couples in developing new and effective ways to communicate, listen to one another , understand eachother's feelings and meet each others’ needs. With increased security and emotional safety, partners reconnect and renew the vitality, connection, and intimacy in their relationship.
